Data transparency

Data Sources

Where prices, percentage changes, volume, trade activity and derived HotCoin metrics come from.

Source principle

Market observations come from public exchange feeds.

HotCoin collects live ticker, trade and price data exposed by supported exchanges and normalizes it into a consistent internal format. A price from one venue is never substituted for another venue's market. Every price and 24-hour change belongs to the exchange and quote currency shown in that row.

Currencies and comparison

KRW, USDT and USD prices are not treated as interchangeable.

KRW markets show the won symbol, while other markets retain quote labels such as USDT, USD or USDC. Base volume and quote turnover are treated as different measures. Relative HOT comparisons prioritize comparable markets on the same venue so currency scale alone does not dominate a ranking.

Latency and missing data

Live feeds do not arrive at one identical instant

Exchange publishing cadence, network path and market activity differ, so update intervals are not identical. Delayed sources are marked partial or offline, and stale executions are not counted as current activity. If a metric is unavailable or lacks sufficient observations, its contribution is limited rather than filled with an invented estimate.

Exchange maintenance, listings, delistings and symbol changes can affect availability. If a row appears incorrect, send the exchange, market code and observation time through the contact page.
